Blue Monday, the infamous most depressing day of the year, is here again. But let’s turn that gloomy mood around and turn this Monday into a bright day full of positive energy! Step outside and embrace the revitalizing effect.

Have you had a refreshing walk or bike ride this morning? That’s really going to benefit you the rest of the day. Morning light is the key to an energetic start, even on a cloudy day.

Daylight, with all its rainbow colors, evolves throughout the day. From the invigorating cool light in the morning to the warm light in the evening. In the early morning, daylight contains a higher “blue” proportion, resulting in a cortisol boost – your energy hormone. Give yourself that extra boost to start the day fresh.

Don’t have time in the morning? Then make room for an outdoor moment around lunchtime. A dose of daylight at this time can suppress that pesky afternoon dip. And if you really can’t get outside, consider using light glasses or daylight lamps. Don’t let Blue Monday define your energy!
